BEHIND THE VIVID IMAGERY Title Card
A visual showcase of the title cards created for “Behind the Vivid Imagery”—a music video by KARELIA’S DISCORD, produced in collaboration with Winamp.
This series of title cards was designed to evoke a cinematic, dreamlike atmosphere aligned with the song’s sonic identity. A bespoke typeface was selected to reflect the ethereal and elegant aesthetic of the project, reinforcing the overarching theme of dreaming.
Musically, the piece blends elements of dream pop, shoegaze, and avant-garde, drawing inspiration from genre-defining acts such as The Cure, Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, and The Novembers.
In addition to integrating the Winamp and KARELIA’S DISCORD brand marks, we also introduced two custom logo designs for their upcoming merchandise line, AVIS, debuting alongside the video release.
'AVIS' - Title Card
As part of the visual identity for the AVIS campaign, select lyrics were integrated into lower third title cards, accompanied by a custom-designed logo. These elements formed a key part of the project’s design language and on-screen branding.
The bird emblem—central to the campaign’s identity—draws on abstract symbolism. Inspired by the Latin word “avis” (meaning “bird”), the logo represents a free-spirited form in flight, metaphorically eclipsing omens of fate.
It serves as both a visual anchor and a thematic expression of serenity and metaphoric freedom.
This cohesive branding approach ensured that lyrical content, graphic motifs, and logo integration worked in harmony to reinforce the narrative tone and artistic vision of the campaign.
BEHIND THE VIVID IMAGERY - End Credits
The end credits for Behind the Vivid Imagery were crafted to deliver a visually striking and respectful close to the music video.
Set in the thematic and elegant gold typography, the text stands in deliberate contrast against a grayscale motion background, creating a refined and cinematic finish.
This sequence provides full accreditation for all contributors and resources involved in the production, honoring the creative and technical efforts that shaped the final piece. The design maintains consistency with the overall visual language of the video while offering a moment of pause and reflection as the project concludes.
'ROAD TO ASPHYXIA' Documentary - Animated Title Card
ROAD TO ASPHYXIA documents the intense creative journey behind ASPHYXIA by KARELIA’S DISCORD, featuring raw reflections from each member on the album’s conception.
The title card adopts a monochromatic design to convey a somber, immersive tone—symbolic of sinking into emotion and introspection. Influences include contemporary film, art, and traditional Japanese ink painting (Sumi-e).
A bespoke theme was composed to sync with the pacing, enhancing the emotional flow.
Post processing techniques were utilised and designed to simulate real camera lens chromatic aberration and lens distortions to deliver the dream-like feeling to the viewer.
